Shim bank up for 20 valves

Postby yoshimitsuspeed » Tue Aug 20, 2013 12:24 pm

I just got in a pretty good selection of shims from Jeff. I will be going through them to see what exactly I have and then figuring out a way to put them up on my website but till then people can PM or email me if they want to exchange.

I'm still thinking about how i want to charge but I'm thinking something like a $15 processing fee and then a charge per shim. Replacing these shims would suck so I think I will put a high core charge on them if you order shims before sending me yours.
For now lets try $2/shim plus an $18 core charge. So if you order shims before sending yours in you will pay $20 per shim plus the $15 processing fee. Kinda sucks but I want to keep track of these shims.
Once you send your shims in you get a refund of $18/shim.
If you send me your shims initially you pay $15 plus $2/shim.

This is likely to change as we go but I figure it's as good a place to start as any.

I am still looking for more shims to add to the collection so if you have any you would like to donate let me know. I can probably do something like offer some sort of store discount on products or something like that.

I am also interested in setting up a 16v shim bank if anyone has shims to donate.

thats kind of pricey for a core charge when new shims cost 700 yen each in japan.....im actually in the process of finalizing shim production by Ferrea for 20v shims now....all the stock sizes would be available.

It is kind of pricey but I don't want to have to try to source them and order them.
I figure most people would just send me their shims first and then there is no core charge.

Ordering them sometimes takes weeks, been there done that. So a shim bank wouldn't be a bad idea!
