TPS only 3 wires?

Postby onnaj » Thu May 16, 2013 8:16 am

Hello,

I've bought myself an 4AGE BT 20V and i've completely rebuild it.

Problem is i'm running way too rich and get a tps error when i connect TE1 en E1.

I've noticed that some people have 4 wires on their TPS while mine had only 3 wires. The cut harness that came with the engine also had only 3 wires. I bought another harness and that also had only 3 wires. The IDL wire is missing. I didn't have the IDL wire on my 7AFE as well. I'm running a 6-speed ecu that came with the harness.

Like to hear your opinions.

Thanks

TPS Should have 3 wires for 20V BT.

VC yellow with MAP (both goes to ECU)
VTA (goes to ECU)
EO1 brown (chassis ground)

IDL is only used on the ST motor, for the AFM. nothings there on the BT.

the ST TPS you can use on either ST or BT, while the BT TPS you cannot swap
haha cali...i got one of your 86's and you're not getting it back.
