Tool for Valve Lifter When Removing Shims

Postby Unknone86 » Wed Nov 04, 2015 5:56 pm

Hello,

I was wondering what tool you guys use when changing shims on the 4age and where did you get it.

From autozone website- The valve adjustment requires removal of the adjusting shims (Tool kit J-37141 available from Kent-Moore Tool or a Toyota equivalent No. 09248-55010, 09248-55020 or 09248-55040).

from amazon -http://www.amazon.com/Valve-Adjusting-Tools-Toyota-Lexus/dp/B0014DF1AG/ref=cm_rdp_product/177-1932564-5356327

From Snap-On YA8825 -https://store.snapon.com/Valve-Adjustment-Tools-Tool-Valve-Adjusting-Toyota-other-OHC-engines-with-spacer-shims--P635890.aspx

09248-55040 is the one from the 4age manual.

Thanks for the advice, kedar
