Hello,
I bought myself a Blacktop 20V engine, but it doesn't have transmission and flywheel. But i can get an original (early) 200 mm 4AGE flywheel which has been lightened to about 5 kg (about 11 lbs) to fit my C52. How do you guys think the drivability will be? Will the engine be nervous or shouldn't 5 kg be a problem? Will it to my C52 gearbox when i buy the flywheel as clutchkit?
I can also get a 212 mm Silvertop flywheel for about the same money and put a 7AFE or 4AGE 20V clutch on it.
What would you suggest me to do?

Re: 4AGE 200 mm flywheel with clutch on 4AGE 20V Blacktop
I have a 200mm clutch and chromolly LWFW on my BT turbo running 7 lbs of boost into my E51. You may ask why hehe but I got a killer deal on the setup on the boards from someone who had the disk custom ordered and E51 LWFWs are frikken expensive.
I don't remember how much my FW weighs but probably close to yours. The clutch will hold up fine as long as you have a good disk and pressure plate. I have no qualms with how my setup feels. It takes a little more finesse to get going but once you are used to it I would say it's no harder or less pleasant than stock.
I would guess most people would stall my car at least once the first time they got into it but that's half the fun. If I ever let them drive it muahaha.

Re: 4AGE 200 mm flywheel with clutch on 4AGE 20V Blacktop
I run a 200mm Fidanza Flywheel and OEM organic Exedy clutch. The set up works for me with no quirks, I always tell my friends I'd rather replace a clutch disc than a transmission... You will notice quicker engine response, whether decelerating or accelerating. I think it made it easier for me to drive.
What would concern me is someone lightening a OEM flywheel?!?!?! I would much rather buy a new lightweight flywheel then have a chunk of steel turning at 8,500 revolutions per minute come through the bellhousing and doing God knows what kind of other damage. This is your car, but yes a 200mm flywheel and clutch will hold up on a 20v. Would I buy a modded stock flywheel for a cheap price, NO.

I use a 200mm Ogura setup also....the 212 setups supposedly hold more HP but i cant tell a difference in the 12mm difference the pressure plates did have a heavier diaphragm
which means more leg muscle...Heres my setup...a lot more expensive then the average person would spend but its 100% rebuildable where more of the others on the market you have to just replace...also my engine is not average in any shape or form..

Ive seen 4agze's with the 200mm flywheel/clutch setup and it held fine, drag racing and drift.(as long as clutch kicks arent done too much) TRD pressure plate and clutch disk on a toda 3.7kg flywheel.
The thing with LWFW's they get hot real fast.

I've bought the stock Silvertop flywheel. Yes it's 1 kg lighter, but it gives me a bit more torque and a little bit less top end HP. While i'm going to use it for street purposes, i think this is a good choice.
Bought a new stock Exedy clutch for it also, so i'm ready to go
