Any info on these pistons?

Postby Cortina69 » Fri Apr 10, 2015 6:06 am

Gents,

Just seen these, but the only info I have is that they are high compression out of a red top. Can anyone shed anymore light on what they are etc etc...

maybe if we could read the labels.... from what I see they are 1990+ 4AGE high comp (smallport) pistons. I can't help you with their bore

If they were standard bore, what compression would we be looking at?

in a completely stock 4AGE... 10.3 to 1 Lower the deck, or a thinner head gasket and the comp goes up

What part number are those pistons? Is the brand on that box behind them, Enginetech?

The make are Aisin? Running a compression of 10-3-1. Is this right?

Looking closer at your pic, they look like used pistons. The tops look like they're coated, so they're likely OEM. And 10.3:1 is correct if those came out of a "redtop," or a better identifier, a smallport.
