Te72 steering noise

Okay so I have this weird howling/rubbing noise coming from my front suspension, but it only happens when I turn left, I have no clue what it could be, when I have the car in the air with the wheels off it doesn't make noise probably because there's no weight. I don't even know where to begin diagnosing this. Any suggestions? Car is a 1981 te72 with stock steering box. Is there fluid or anything that runs inside the box? I'm completely fresh to the whole no rack and pinion deal. Am I making this more complicated then it is? Lol please and thanks for any help!
