Hi guys! So I'm looking to get some new wheels and was wondering if our offsets would be the same as the ae86? I have a TE72 coupe and was wondering how crazy i would be able to get with the fitments. I want it to be somewhat flush but I would occasionally drive hard so I won't be "hellaflush". Gotta work on my suspension too and was looking into T3 suspension for front and rear so that I would be able to adjust my ride height and setting accordingly. Tips and help would be appreciated. What year is your car???

80-81 you have different strut mount on the top, 82-83 is the same as an AE86.

One KEY difference as you start building your E7.... the low control arms mount in the same place on the front cross member, BUT the distance between the shock towers is 12mm MORE in an E7... this means if you use AE86 front suspension bits you will automatically have 6mm positive camber per side...... adjustable upper mounts can fix this... again another but... as you continue to lower the car... you will need more upper adjustment.

Its a 1980 coupe similar to yours. For the front suspension then I was planning on the T3 front coilover conversion. And also with that get the camber plate so I would be able to adjust the camber. How about the rear? is there a good set of coils for the rear? What offsets are you running? I am planning on getting some 15x8.5 in the fron but not sure what offset would be best. +15, 0, or -6. And the rear I might switch to 86 rear end if i am able to find the parts. But suspension wise I want to run T3 all around. Heard good things about them.

I've swapped the diff already...


I'm using mostly TRD bushings in OEM parts... I didn't use T3* or other brands. I had custom springs made a long time ago for my AE86... I swapped them into my E7 (5.5kg/mm front and 3.5kg/mm rear)

The custom LCAs I built use T3s kit, but I sourced a bushing end instead of the Hyme joint end that came in the kit

I'm running 15 x 6.5 +22 - it keeps the original scrub radius. I run 195/50/15 on all 4 corners.

Did some test fitting. Most likely will get the FZero2 with same color. But wanted to see how fitment would play out. Front is 8.5 +0 and rear 9.5 +0







Came out perfectly too Can't wait to get my set of wheels!
