NEED HELP ON TURBO MR2 ;[
Re: NEED HELP ON TURBO MR2 ;[
are all your couplings tight? no colapsing or anything? are you getting fuel? did you notice any smoke out of the tail pipe? if so could you tell if it was blue or white or black? what engine/chassis is your mr2? is there any oil inside your distributor?
Re: NEED HELP ON TURBO MR2 ;[
yes my 4ag's distributor was leaking oil. i sprayed some wd-40 in there and was able to get my car started untill enough oil leaked back into the distributor. it can keep your car from running for sure. check out http://www.kbox.ca/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=413&&osCsid=8b8cbf72376b007f438516f037a01a4d. they have toyota distributor rebuild kits to fix the oil leak. Im sure that is what killed your car.

Geez, seriously, an oil leak in the dizzy killed the engine? I've had that happen with my del Sol which has the ignitor inside the dizzy (it was covered in oil, probably the original dizzy). I thought the ignitor was external for the 3S. Makes me want to go through with doing a dizzy-free / crank sensor / coil packs setup on my turbo build...

Just to clarify, this is a MK2 with a stockish 3SGTE?
There is no reason it should have boosted higher. How much higher did it go?
I would do a compression test just in case.

old thread sign up and try talking to the guys on MR2OC.com. to me it sound like your MAF meter is loose (aft end of the meter where it hooks up to the hose or turbo inlet) or its going bad.
