Nice, I've no doubt you'll succeed in adding power windows. You even have the right door panels to start with.

Re: The Adventures of TURTLE and LOLA the CoLola
During the time Turtle was looking for a transmission, he had a secondary list of things to look for. The parts for the power windows: regulators switches relay wiring door panels The door panels he bought from a gentleman in Vallejo, so that leaves a few items at the junk yard. door panels are fro...

Re: Running the fuel pump manually
There's a way to turn the fuel pump on manually by jumping two wires. It's near the AFM and it's green in color. jump those, switch the key to ON. you can hear the fuel pump running in the back if you listen carefully.

Anyone have that DIY Reupholstery thread from the old forum?
Remember that DIY re-upholstery thread in which the poster basically deconstructed the GT-S seats, reverse-engineered patterns for the seat and sewed together the whole thing? I rather enjoyed reading that one and always wanted to try it out (but I don't have a sewing machine so never got to it). An...

Re: The Adventures of TURTLE and LOLA the CoLola
The panels started out as maroon. I bought a vinyl repair kit (which is basically a small cup of paste that looks like elmer's glue that doesn't shrink) to take care of the small cracks on the top from sun damage. wasn't pretty but it does its job filling in the cracks. If I had spent more time on t...

Re: AE86 wont start
If everything is where it should be, the Circut Opening Relay (COR) is located on the passenger side, IIRC just right of the glove box on a bracket bolted in. I'm looking at the wiring diagram. The plug that was mentioned should have a GRN-RED and a BRN wire that's being jumped. the BRN is ground, t...

Re: What Swap?
If you're going to do a swap for the fuel injected 4ag and you currently have an SR5, you need a bunch of stuff first AKA the GTS conversion, not only the engine. Check the home page, there is a swap page somewhere. There are ways around some of the parts you need, but it could cost more. Are you me...

You happen to be in luck, I just posted up a how-to on how to make a manual IACV using the old one (even how to block it off without having to really buy anything else). Huzzah for easy cold-starts and no more hunting idle!

Re: How do I adjust my high idle
Idle screw all the way down? If yes, then check the IACV. I think that some have tested it by putting it in hot water and checking if the valve closes. If it still closes, then maybe there is no coolant going to the IACV and you need to check the lines for an obstruction. If it does not close, then ...

Congrats! A great choice, glancing at the amazon reviews. If you don't already know, and I found this out the hard way, get a class 10 SD card if you intend on taking video (for video, at least a class 6 is required). Also, always keep a back-up card. Read up on reviews, sometimes generics are as go...

Re: Any camera Gurus?
Most DSLRs are great to use, but much like driving a car well, it's more about the user than the camera itself. Many will have an opinion (in many cases a bias) about certain brands. I, personally have a canon which I really like, but I know that Nikon makes an equally great camera which is stronger...
