Re: New to 86's, Tire/Wheel Question(s), GTS Hatch

it puzzles me that of your top 2 wheel choices, one of them is a $500 knockoff piece of crap and the other is a $2,000 high end forged racing wheel. If you like the rota RKR, but have the budget for TE37, why not buy real watanabe? they come in a better size for your needs anyway.

Re: ONE MILD 86

What adapter did you use for your quads? Xcessive? If so did the itg plate bolt right on? Xcessive yes, and the ITG plate from SQ did work but I ended up taking off those quick release fasteners and using bolts and nuts to secure the two together. Slightly sanded down edges to make the fit tighter ...

Updates. New pan/pickup installed. much more clearance now. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/10/02/d6d52e4a9a853f0cba1cbb6d51dd570f.jpg I hated the V-band connection on my exhaust, so my brother welded on a 2 bolt flange for me instead. http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14/10/02/697aed4c00206b1c...

With the engine running you should be pulling around 14.3-14.5 volts. 12 is low

Re: NGK Wire Set Differences? 4AGE MR2 vs. AE86

Mr2 wires are shorter than ae86 because of the way the distributor is oriented. You can use either mr2 or 86 wires when using an mr2 distributor, but not the other way around.

Well, since I get the impression that none of the people posting replies in here actually drift, I'll lend my .02 First. Don't be afraid to go to events. Events are not just for advanced drivers, they are for everyone. You don't get good in a parking lot somewhere and then show up to a track knowing...

if I were you, I'd sell that GZE long block to someone who will make use of it and get yourself a small port high comp motor to build from if high compression N/A is your goal.

Setting your car up for the least amount of traction is the worst drifting advice I've ever heard.

Re: Differential Sounds Like A Jet Turbine

it is typical to sometimes get a little bit of noise from a 4.77 final. If the noise is really that loud, it would be an indicator of an improper setup.
