Re: ToeKnee's new TE72 Track Toy
U do have quite a dilemma, haha. Super nice Hatch bro, i don't blame you for wanting to stop beating upon it. My 2 cents with your options, I would put the bumpers back on the TE72 and try and sell it for what you are asking; i believe its $1800. I would keep that price, i think it is fare. If you w...

Re: Longest. Buildup. Ever.
Dude, thanks for the website! I do have a 7ag on my engine stand, that i was building for my drift missile before i sold the shell. But i'm still going to finish the engine build up and probably sell the engine, or just keep in my garage as a spare, even though it would be running Webber side drafts...

Re: Fuel cell questions
Hmmm, you can do this multiple ways it all really depends on how clean you want it to look. As far as ur Fuel pump issue, if i were you i would mount and external fuel pump. The electrics is pretty simple just run the two wires the neg/pos to the original factory position. Some ppl also like to put ...

Re: My NA 4age bigport street build
In addition... set your squish @ 1mm - you could go as tight as .8mm, but 1mm gives you room for one more rebuild. Even though you are going with stock cams, I'd recommend getting a set of adjustable timing pulleys. This will allow you to accurately dial the cams in. They will also allow you to &qu...

Re: My NA 4age bigport street build
This is some good stuff! I hope im not thread jacking here, but since you guys are talking about cams, what point do you need to upgrade the valve springs to prevent valve floating(I hope i term correct)? What's the max cam you can run with the stock 4AG valve train including shims and buckets? Ther...

Nice job buddy! Did you do the entire work urself? Did you end up going up to the Mark 5 waskers, or did you stick with the Mark 4? I wish you could have down a DIY Rebuild for LSDs, if you did the entire work urself. Hopefully it last for a while. You drifing your car or was this normal wear and te...

Re: Ideas Please.....
+1 for Yoshimitsuspeed, and his comment. The 7A would be your best option for the buck, not worth swapping out internals and machining the 4a block to fit a stroker kit. The only thing you would have to do to the 7A block is swap out the pistons to some 4ag pistons to bump up the C/R. I've read ppl ...

This is a great build C4ptiv3, Slow and steady make for a great car. =) Got a couple of questions for you. I'm guessing that your running the 4ag oil pump, are you going to also use the 4ag timing sproket? Also, what timing belt are you going to use, and if you do, do u have a part number for it? La...

Re: Rear end in AE86 that can take 350hp.
Check with http://www.weirperformance.com/axlekitscompleterear.html like LongGrain said. Their axle and spool kit is rated at 350hp, but they also have a bunch of other rear ends that you can possibly swap into your car. Give them a call and ask for some of their other specs on their axles and LSD s...

Re: My Super long drawn out AE86 hi comp build
I think 180-200bhp is a good number for a NA 4AG engine with side draft carbs. But you know how it is for the quest of more power, once you have it you can never get enough of it and you want more and more. lol Can't wait to see your dyno chart once you get the engine all dialed in.

This is a bad a$$ build LewyG!! I don't really have any imputs about ur build, just a couple of questions. Before ur rebuild, how much HP do you think you were running? And now that you have rebuilt and up-graded your engine, i know ur still working out the kinks on it, but how much HP do you think ...

This pic is a couple of years old, but the only significant changes made to the car has been that i lowered a bit and got some wheel spacers to fill in the wheel wells a bit more for a little aggressive looking stance.

Here is the thread i was talking about: http://forums.club4ag.com/zerothread?id=359. He's also running Mikuni's so that's a bonus for you, and who knows you might be running o...

Re: Removing Mikuni carbs returning back to EFI
Working with carbs isn't that difficult. Search in the archives for a write up that Dr. Occa did on his 4ag carb set up. He explains the fuel jets, how to set up the Air/Fuel ratio etc. You probably just need to tune them up a bit, and the car should feel a lot more responsive. Also, you need to che...

Re: Removing Mikuni carbs returning back to EFI
Why do you want to go back to EFI? If the car runs great with the carbs, why not keep them and keep building apon that platform. If the quest is for more power u still have a nice set up get more out of the engine. Just curious on why you would want to make the change back, there's quiet of few ppl ...

The closest one that i've seen was from the Brother's in New York. He club name on here is Bigdaddywalt, and i also believe he was the first to do the 1uz swap in a 86 then twin turbo it. But even he had to put the Radiator under the front brace and probably had to mod the mounting position on the b...

Canyon,
When you were running this set up, did you end up using the 4K dizzy from the starlet, or did you end up using the GTS? Also is there anyway to use the GTS dizzy with this set up? 4K dizzies are pretty hard to come by these days. Thanks man!

Dave, you can use the 86 aluminum radiator with the 1UZ. The only thing you have to do is remove and re-weld the openings to match the 1UZ. There is a member on here that i have talk to about this topic and that's what he did. He's car has been featured twice i think in Super Street. Once with his s...

Re: Converting my Ae82 to become an AE86
86HachiRokuGTS, I think you have everyone confused on this thread. There is no such thing as AE82, if you have a 1982 corolla, they the correct chassis code for it would be TE72, and if you do have one of those then you can convert the entire running gear/suspension, and engine and tranny to GTS. Bu...

Re: SR5 fuel lines? with swapped motor need help???!?!
I really dont think the diamete of the fuel lines have anything to do with how much fuel you get to ur engine. It's about about the presure delivery that you have to worry about if you end up starving ur engine of fuel. So to fix that you would just have to change out ur fuel pump for a pump that fl...
