Re: Carbed AE86

^ I just took a intake manifold gasket (the one the goes against the head not meant to fit the manifold ) found the area of that and ordered pipe where the outer diameter fit that and the inner diameter fit the area of the carburetors.

Re: Carbed AE86

Header installed, everything fits as expected and no clearance problems, which is good compared to many other headers where you have to hammer the engine bay a little bit to make it fit. Just going to get a heat shield for my Master Cylinder and all will be good to go. http://i761.photobucket.com/al...

Re: Group buy on flanges, coolant fill necks and other items

CNC machined is $105. I could price one out water jet cut. I bet it would be a good bit cheaper but a little rougher around the edges. http://matrixgarage.com/products/4age-largeport-intake-manifold-flange Id rather have the CNC, i appreciate the offer on the water jet. But for 3/8's aluminum i wou...

Cool set up. What bike did you get those carbs off of? Those carbs are off a 2000 Yamaha R1 What size pipe did you use for your manifold? im assuming it was bent to shape in a vice/press? The pipe is 2" outer diameter and 1.75" inner diameter Just curious if you had any more detailed pict...

I cant wait to finish making my intake manifold. Those injector plugs are going to look pretty pretty pretty, thank you very much for making those. My rubber stoppers dont hold up well with my new 83mm bore.

Are you going to run any kind of filters now? Would be a shame to kill the new engine from eating dust and road grime. Yea, i have been running filters. The picture doesnt look like it but they stick out about .3 from the top. I dont really have a worry about them getting sucked through, top end measures 9/16th or about 15mm. I put them in and did some 1-2-3 WOT pulls and some hard decels in 2nd from 7k rpm to idle (at operating temp) no problems. B...
