AE86 A/C hard lines with service ports

I'm looking for the two A/C lines that have the R12 service ports on them... send me a PM if you have either one. Thanks. :)

Re: My red hatch (fix-up and restoration)

So far no issues at all. About two years ago when I got the car I put some POR15 over some exposed metal on the rear fender to keep rust from spreading before I can do bodywork, and it's still holding on well and looks like the day I painted it. Kind of sad I've been procrastinating about the body w...

Re: My red hatch (fix-up and restoration)

Time for an update! I've been busy driving the car, so I haven't gotten around to posting anything. :P I got my rear-end put back in. Ignore that rusty exhaust. It will be going away in time. ;) http://i.imgur.com/toMlsTL.jpg http://i.imgur.com/9w36hY5.jpg I also finished painting my rear bumper. Ac...

Re: Ae86 cold start issue

I agree with davew7 about the check valve in the fuel pump. The sender and pump are two completely different units though, so changing the fuel level sender should have no effect on the fuel pump at all unless you removed the tank to do it (you shouldn't have to) and messed with the pump.

Nice! Did you replace all the o-rings, or just evac and recharge?
I'm thinking of charging with R12A (very different from R12) since it's supposed to be better for original R12 systems.

Wow, I'm looking forward to the end result. I really admire the attention to detail. What are you doing to keep track of which bolt goes where? Labeled bags? Pictures for reference? I got a bit nervous of mixing things up just having the interior out, so I would be really paranoid about having parts...

Haha, okay well that makes a whole lot of sense. Thanks for that information. :) I found the whole PDF of that article with more information about the ECU. Interesting read. https://github.com/sparkiedk/Toyota-PCM-hacking/blob/master/Lifting%20The%20Lid%20on%20the%20mk1%20MR2%20ECU%20%28Jeremy%20Ros...

Re: Slight tachometer hesitation around T-VIS engagement poi

Well after doing some research I've found that common causes of this issue are fuel filters (strange?) and MAF sensors. Also I suppose any ignition component could cause this, but my spark plugs, wires, distributor, and injectors are all new and tested. That just leaves the MAF, TPS, ECU, and the fu...

Slight tachometer hesitation around T-VIS engagement point

Every time I accelerate into the upper revs the tachometer pauses for a half-second around 4200 RPM before continuing on.
There is no noticeable strange sounds from the engine, it seems like it's just the tachometer. Has anyone else had this happen? Just wondering, thanks. :)

Re: My red hatch (fix-up and restoration)

Well it's been a while since I've made an update here. To continue from the previous post, I measured the axles with some calipers and discovered they were both Zenki, so that means some of the information out there about being able to tell by looking at them is incorrect. Just be aware of that. Any...

Sorry about not getting back to you. Is your car zenki or kouki? Also, is the wiring SR5 or GT-S?
They share a lot of similarities, but there are a few spots where they are completely different.

Why don't you just make the rear harness? I think the rear harness is pretty simple compared to all the other harnesses, so just get a copy of the AE86 wiring diagrams and give it a try. If you do some custom hack job then need help later it's much more difficult to debug because you won't be able t...

Wow it looks like you have the same rust underneath the rear bumper that I do. If you look inside that fender I bet the entire pinch weld is rusted along the bottom... I got a patch panel from Wolf Steel, but it only replaces the front panel, so I'll have to fabricate a replacement for the inside pa...

Are you talking about the 5th link? Zenki and Kouki axle shafts in the same axle

Is this a problem? I checked and the spider gears in the LSD are different as well, so the Kouki axle only fits in one side.
I realize the Zenki axle is slightly weaker, but I don't drift my car or do anything besides some spirited driving.
