15mph smog fail
Yup, still working on getting my car to pass smog. My hook up fell through. Regardless, I have all emissions equipment on my car, and they are functioning. My car even passes the 25mph test with ease. The 15mph test, not so much. New catalytic converter, plugs, EGR system, wires, oil. Only thing I ca...

Re: AE86 with A/C...
My car is a restoration project, that's why I am trying to learn how to get it to work. Maybe i'll uninstall the receiver dryer, and flush the system. I would consider taking the whole system out if a majority if the system is stopped up and useless. For all I know, it could have been open to the el...

Re: AE86 with A/C...
That is why I am just considering the option of just ripping it all out. I know for at least a year and half it was open to the elements. Prior to that, I have no idea, it could be completely stopped and fouled up. How can I clean out and purge the system? I know A/C repair is one of those black mag...

Re: AE86 with A/C...
All this talk of A/C repair makes me nervous. My SR5 had A/C, it's missing a compressor and 1 hose that connects to the compressor. While I haven't gotten the new nose, I have gotten the compressor, and was just figuring on installing everything "as-is" to see if any of the A/C stuff even ...

Bleed tool for hydraulic clutch?
I know for brake calipers you can buy speed bleeders that make it a lot easier to bleed brakes. Do they have them for our hydraulic clutches too?

WTB looking for OEM 14'' wheels
Just wondering, does anyone have a complete set of Celica Supras, Toyota van wheels or AE86 pizza cutters with caps for sale? The pizza cutters or van wheels would be preferred, no tires preferred but not a deal breaker. pm me. Located in Menfiee CA or email me at amerizoku@gmail.com

Got another question. Will you sell only front 88 rotors and hawk pads, or is it only a complete set?

Re: 88ROTORS - Brakes, Shocks, Coilovers, Tires, Wheels, & M
Hi, I have a question about the stainless steal lines. My car is an SR5, and i was wondering if the rear brake hoses between the SR5 and GTS rear end brakes use the same hose fittings (being that one has drum brakes, and the other has calipers). What can you give me for just the front lines? and als...

Front wheel bearings, brake lines and caliper questions
I understand how to do them,(there is also a great write up on this site i think), but I am confused about getting replacment bearings. Apparently, there is an inner bearing, an outer bearing and a seal (judging form the diagram form the haynes book). To my dismay, it seems that I can't buy a...

Re: 4ac help!
check ignition timing with a timing light. If the timing is off, it will run terrible, factory is 5 degrees BTDC. Being a neglected car, the carbuerator is probably in need of a overhaul too. But start simple with checking the timing. Also, how old is the gas?

Re: Catalytic Converter questions/suggestions for ae86!
as a fellow CA resident wiht an sr5, my suggestion is just to get the oem replacement from autozone. CA requires on OEM or an OEM replacement catalytic converter now. I used to have BBK high flows on my old car, they passed in 2008, and failed in 2010 after they changed the law.

Re: GTS, Digital and SR5 gauge cluster connection question.
I actually picked up a digital cluster a while back. It has the custom adapter harness. Kind of nice to know that theoretically, when i get the digital cluster back together(it needs a fuse soldered in to work), I could have an SR5 with a digital cluster. Just probably make a mark on the RPM bar as ...

GTS, Digital and SR5 gauge cluster connection question.
Is the wiring on the connections for the GTS and SR5 gauge cluster the same? Like, if you plug in the GTS gauge cluster into an SR5car, will all the electric lights and dials work because on the connection itself, they are all correct(AKA, plug and play)? Or would it require the use/making of some w...
