Short stroke strut service
Custom short stroke set ups have long been the preferred setup for AE86 enthusiasts due to the fact that you have the choice to mix and match dampers and spring rates to get the set up that will work best for your application. I am offering the service of modifying your OEM strut casings in order to...

Re: ... I'm gonna put my hose into my headlight
The race cars in the 70's in Japan ran oil coolers up front, I think they are just copying that look. Don't know why they put it through the headlight specifically. http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y98/seymour86/NissanSkylineGT-R_KPGC10_01-640x312.jpg Also BIG aero packages were all the rage in the ...

Generally for drag racing you want longer gears.

Re: DIY Bash Bars/Bumper Bar
I like seeing people do their own work. Some tips though, you should not be using flux core wire with shielding gas unless the wire is a "Dual shield" wire. FCAW or flux core arc welding is done DCEP (direct current electrode negative). While GMAW-S (Gas metal arc welding short circuit tra...

Cleaning out the parts shed found a red top manifold that was converted to RWD configuration a while back. $80 takes it. Re: 20V: Alternative Ignition: COPs - batch fire
Just out of curiosity why bother with batch fire? It's not any more efficient than typical distributor. To reach optimal effinciency wouldn't sequential be best? Or at least waste spark. Since the 20v is sequential injection, batch firing works on the 20v with the factory ecu. You essentially have ...

20v valve shims
I just did a valve job on my blacktop and some of the valve clearances are a little tight. I know the 16v use a pretty standard size shim (25mm) and I was just wondering if other motors share the same shim as the 20v?

Yes, but what do you hook your lead on the timing gun up to if you have no spark plug wires?

Re: 20V: Alternative Ignition: COPs - batch fire
How do you set your ignition timing? I would like to run 7mgte coils and ignitor (being that I have them) with a HAL sensor. I looked up the archived stuff but I think what I need is on page 2 and when I click on page 2 it takes me to the new forum http://web.archive.org/web/20120508010904/http://fo...
