lol, not a fan of those but I had a red 99' SI with 14 pounds of boost.. Motor was also built... Thing was a crazy beast. It actually got stolen, and chopped up... Lost about 10k on that.
Hondas are reliable and fun but I just never really like their looks.. always seemed boring. Minus the NSx

Thanks for the reply man. Not to beat a dead horse I'm just still a little confused..
Are you using 16v cores? Seems strange that they would all clog or leak.. Are these new or used?

In my opinion it's idiotic to drop in crate motors used, especially from JY. And if I'm going to do the work on swapping bottom ends, I would rebuild, if I'm rebuilding anyway....

Re: New Aftermarket manual steering rack
Oh yeah, and if you want to be a real cunt (which was what I was gonna do lol), you would just pick up a AW11 rack from AZ, put your old PS rack in (take off lines), and give em the box. Half the time they don't even bother looking, the other half the time they can't tell the difference haha.

Re: New Aftermarket manual steering rack
Why do you need a new manual rack? It's a manual rack dude..thick metal teeth on metal teeth.. lol. I just bought a used AW11 rack, and bought brand new internals from Toyota. Everything is still available. Then I just painted/powder coated the housing. A new rack is stupid expensive. You don't even...

the problem with that is the cable clamp fits in a groove on the actual cable, and has to be the perfect size in order to both secure the cable in place and not create any slack. I was actually able to make a different clamp.and cable work, but I had to perfectly match a cut groove on the cabme with...

It's just sitting at my buddy's house. I have no idea what I'm gonna do. My buddy is a pretty gangsta mechanic, and I might trade him a BG familia for tearing down to internals and freeing up that bottom end.
All signs point to me selling/getting rid of it though.

I just really don't want to be kept here because of swapping in a 20v, and I've really no interest in anything besides a 4AGE. It's half the reason I bought the car lol.
If I've already got a donor RWD 4AG, shouldn't it be cake for me to swap in a FWD one?

I dunno man. I mean, we won't know until it's broken down. I don't think I mentioned it, but I have a DC2 GSR. It's really hard to convince myself how great the AE86 is, when it's better handling, better engine, better comfort, and 10x easier to find parts for. Plus, I'm supposed to move to WA here ...

So I was trying to drive the car to my buddy's shop to bleed the brakes and adjust the ebrake cable. On the way there (it's a 15 minute drive). I had almost no power. I barely made it up a FL hill. I figured it was the alt. and my pipe after the header was broken and hanging. I noticed the oil press...

Just to let you know, we didn't end up needing that SST.. I forget the part call out, but whatever that weird tool attachment was, we didn't need it. The fronts were rebuilt and powder coated.
I was following the Brazilian guy's write up on YT.

That's why I always go 15s. The modest increase of the wheel weight is nothing compared to the amazing selection that reveals itself to you when you bump up an inch from 14. I remember scouring through tirerack and the internet for decent 14s on my Mazda Familia. I just gave up and never bothered go...

Lol dude it drives like sh**. It's got something wrong air wise. Not sure if it's Exhaust or Intake. Brakes have too much air too drive around. It was doing this weird thing when I went and drove it where it would die at idle or if I stopped. It's also leaking coolant and oil. And I never know if I'...

Nah, mine was more grinding, evident of binding just from feel and type of sound (isn't it fun to describe sounds on the internet). A little update. She runs and drives but runs pretty rough. The coilovers are not height matched on the front since I get tire rub with my messed up fender. I probably ...

Re: Brake line leak on hardline @ prop valve
I pulled the hose after the check valve (going to the booster) off, after running the car for a bit and turning off.. and a good amount of pressure released from the hose, hissing and what not. Wouldn't that mean normal operation?

Re: Brake line leak on hardline @ prop valve
Thanks Dave, I actually found out that the check valve between the hoses was flipped the opposite way. I flipped it back, and now the power brake system seems to be working. However, when I step on the brake @ idle (haven't driven), the pedal will go down, but become "sticky" when it hits ...
