Re: Turbo vs NA
yeah sorry i also meant WHP. I have an exhaust cutout. I havent paid much attention to my AFRs with the cutout open. But im making 150WHP with it open, and 125WHP with it closed. The tuner said when my cutout was closed the car would run much richer, for what reason i am not sure. One of the reasons...

Re: Turbo vs NA
I got it tuned without really knowing much about how lean i could go on a 3rib with rebuilt internals and slightly bumped up compression (decked block, shaved head) So i had them just do something conservative that wont blow me up. Currently im making 125hp, 150wtq, and when i open up my exhaust cut...

That kit is a good start for a pretty good price. You may want to look into upgrading the swaybars and 4link as well.

Cant hold an idle (Turbo/ MSPNP2)
So ive had my turbo car runing on MSPNP2 for a while now. When i got it tuned I had a broken dashpot on my Throttle body and it held an idle most of the time. Now i replaced it with a working springy Dashpot and kept my IACV blockoff plate. The issue is that my car wont hold an idle without me resti...

Re: turbo help
Get a TRD Header, and do some head work. Maybe switch to a HiComp head. Throw an exhaust on it, and some suspension. You wont be asking for more power after that. The only reason I went turbo was to keep up with SRs and V8s while drifting cause my car runs out of OOMPH to keep spinning the tires. On...

Feel free to look at my build thread.. i recently turboed mine and it was pretty hard for doing it on my own. But if youre knowledgable i say go for it! Just know the safe limi...

Re: AE82 4AGE Trouble.
I second the COR, mine had the same exact symptoms and the COR was culprit. About a year later it did it again, and my EFI relay was getting overly hot, replaced it and good as new. If the COR and EFI relays arent the issue, check your TPS ground, its the one thats grounded on the intake manifold un...

If the vins are JT2ae88 it was a GTS, JT2ae86 it was an sr5, if its JT2ae85 it was a DX.
If it a ae86 VIN and it has a drum rear, chances are it has never been swapped. Take some pcis

Re: Looking for more power on my Bluetop 86 Help wanted !
For someone like you, i would suggest to find a nice Header. TRD, PaceSetter, OBX(if you really have to) are known brands. Then go ahead and upgrade your air filter, if youd like (i never did) Supposedly the snorkel helps out with the torque. Freshen up the motor by doing an oil change, Spark Plugs,...
