Re: Engine wont start - need help
I love a good story :) It doesn't address the question of IVC which actually has more effect on cranking compression. But I couldn't find a good story about IVC, so this will have to do for starters [emoji38] Cheers... jondee86 I once experimented with twin cam timing and setting it up by using a c...

Re: Engine wont start - need help
Sounds like a heap of compression for such long cams. Did you time the cams to the Kelford cam card ? The book says normal BT compression is 193psi, so maybe look at closing the intake cam a bit later to drop a bit of static compression. You might also want to look at retarding the ignition a bit t...

Engine wont start - need help
i know i can get more help here than posting in fB. so anyway i have a problem getting my engine to start. i spoilt 3 starters in 3 days! i had to tow the car in order to start it. when cranking, there will be times that the engine kicks back and flames coming out from intake. i have tried almost an...

Re: 4A 7A Clutch Question
The diameter of the flywheel itself between 200mm and 215mm set ups is the same, it's only the friction face diameter that's different. You won't lose or gain anything going between the two with power, torque or inertia. Just have more clamping area using a 215mm clutch and flywheel. Also no differ...

Re: 4e flywheel
I saw the 4efte flywheel has 6bolts and 212mm. The clutch kit can be used in 4age. So was wondering if the OEM flywheel can be swapped to 7a crank

Re: Under size crankshaft
Are you referring to using an early 40mm crank? Then to a degree yes!! The 40mm (early 3rib) crankshaft is approx 700g's lighter and has been argued to be slightly better in some mild street builds. less friction vs. 42mm. I would also assume less friction/drag meant less heat. Also both cranks are...

Re: 20v OEM valve springs
How much lift can 20v OEM valve springs take? Are you concerned with coil bind or valve float? It also depends on how aggressive the cam profile is for valve float. I assume based on this question you are looking at buying some new cams? If so just bite the bullit and get some uprated supertech spr...

4A 7A Clutch Question
I have a few question on clutch system. 1. Does a 7A 200mm flywheel work with 215mm clutch? The reason i asked is i found an affordable light flywheel compared to Fidanza 215mm flywheel. was thinking if its ok or safe to match them together. 2. i was told that single/multi plate clutch kit does not ...
