Re: Question on machining costs
To be honest the only way l can see an issue with what they charged is if they didn't adhere reasonably closely to a written quote. I don't know about the US but in the U.K there is a distinct legal difference between a quote and an estimate. I guess thats the problem...I never received a quote and...

Question on machining costs
Hey there. I bought a BC stroker kit with 83mm pistons, MRP crank girdle, Kelford 193C cams, dual valve springs, titanium retainers, bronze valve guides, etc. I sent it to the machine shop to get head and block assembled on a 7 rib block. Here is what they did: Steel shot blast block Align hone main...

What is the OEM Fog Option for a Kouki AE86?
I am curious to see what is the "OEM" option for the fog lights for a JDM AE86? I have seen ones that say Halogen and I have seen ones that say Toyota? Anyone know? Also, does anyone know how to "refurbish" these? I was looking online for decals, and potentially may want to take ...

What’s the best head gasket for this setup? I’m assuming cometic or something, probably at least a 1.0mm right? 0.8mm may be too high compression with the pistons being 12.5:1

Re: Anyone build a 4AG 16v with the Brian Crower stroker kit?
I would suggest a crank girdle for any engine spinning to ridiculous RPM. Most would stop at ladder caps to strengthen the main caps, but the girdle will cut out a lot of the flex in the main bolsters at high power and/or RPM. In a stroked engine the crank gets pushed sideways more than with the st...

Why does ev...

Hmmm...but this would be the AE86 JDM version compared to either an AE86/AE88 VIN [SR5 vs GTS] US version comparison right? I saw that post from earlier but not sure if that really helps to answer my question.
