Re: toyota turbo engines that fit in ae86?
Couldn't agree with you anymore John, at that point, you're just using the car for the chassis shell, and in my opinion there are much cheaper and better chassis out there. Honestly, as far as the track goes you just cannot beat an early gen Miata. I'd get another NA if it wasn't such a horrible DD ...

Thanks! It really is. He's independent though, and it's only him in the shop.. So wait times can be rough. But worth it if you're patient. Update: Both front and real calipers, Hawk HPS pads, and Phase 2 rotors are installed and everything is torqued and ready to go for the most part. The front pads...

Re: toyota turbo engines that fit in ae86?
I agree, but it's also a catch-22. I love the AE86, and probably about 60% of that affection is for the 4AGE. And it really is a better performer as a naturally aspirated engine, so it's kind of a defeatist philosophy if you ask me. Honestly, the motor from the factory is a Yamaha, not so much Toyo....

Re: toyota turbo engines that fit in ae86?
ca18 was my lowest cost path to a turbo corolla. Good 'fit', already 1.8, strong 5spd, tweakable oem electronics, etc.. "Keep it toyota" tax = $$$$pend considerably more Fortunately, skills & brains can drastically reduce a 4AGTE budget.... down into the 'good performance value per do...

Supra motors too heavy. 3SGT is too much work and money. I'd just go 4AGT if you want boost that bad.

No worries, I'm pretty sure it was like 50 a wheel. He said 60 per 15" is standard I think..
I use ProCustoms: http://www.allprocustoms.com/
But pricing powder coating is weird. I had a lot of stuff done at the same time, so It's cheaper.

Re: WTB: Rear H/B Speaker Buckets & Grille covers
Good luck dude. I've been trying to get the speaker grilles forever (I have one, need another). You'll need two of those speaker buckets/pods/whatever you want to call them, then there are two square speaker grilles for each side. The pods are left and right specific, the grilles are not. http://par...

Honestly, I don't think you should go any further. Anything that is degraded would be before the point you're at.. The MPH thing is really interesting. AFAIK, that trim was only available in Japan, with no export. So.. Anyway, I really wish someone would chime in with a factory schematic. There is a...

Everything for a LHD GT-S is ****. Your best bet is to find an authentic TRD. Or you can get the Martellus (sp?) from some guys in the Euro. Pacesetter is trash, I had one before. Don't know about OBX.

Just FYI, lawyering up can be an expensive and tasking process. For something as cheap as 1-2k, I wouldn't even bother with it. Lawyer fees aren't cheap. Although if a business sees you are getting serious, they usually just settle out of small claims court anyway. I think I misread that you have th...
