Amazing work as always. How the heck do you get those shallow coolant passages around the chambers so clean? One of the costs.... I have each head cleaned and pressure checked at a machine shop. In this case the head did come to me cleaned already, but I still had it checked for its pressure holdin...

Congratulations, so the CAT lasted 6 years? Sent from my MHA-L29 using Tapatalk pretty much.... and the first tune on it was very polluting... before I knew to dial back injector open time to get proper idle.... :oops: But... with some good... some bad... for those that remember... the PO used kouk...

Feb of an even year....... Its emissions testing time again. I brought her through, and while not a "gross polluter", she did fail on hydro carbons 400ppm, the level is 220. The cat is now 3 inspections old, and so I replaced the cat, and went back through......... http://ost.ebeans.ch/alb...

Hey oldeskewl, I have another odd request. Is the A/C idler tension bracket still bolted on? If not, did it come with the purchase? I have been desperately trying to find a factory manual rack AE88/86 with the tensioner bracket in place. Ian right now it has a Nevo crank pulley, alt and water pump....

Use the FSM, follow the loosening pattern, and tightening pattern in the FSM.

Headwork! Just know the limitations of the bottom end. No sense in building a top end to destroy the bottom end. Typically, the bottom end can handle 9000rpm with the weak link being the oil pump. smallport n/a There is no reason to spend BIG $$ on the bottom end... it does need more piston(compression)... and the internals could be lighter... BUT @ 10.3:1 you are already pretty good there, plus the addition of a metal gasket(ASSUMING blocks deck is perfect) bumps that higher.... If n/a small...

How did those shims get what appears to be rust on them?? somewhere over 1.7 liters... final size depends on their overbore. rusty shims - Now sure... the head came to me cleaned, but everythjing else just came in a box. The shims, and the buckets carry a moderate level of rust, so these item...
