Re: Dastek Unichip Type A

Hi,

Unaware if it overrides the AFM but been told it works fine for my AW11 ECU.

I'll see if I can find out for you.

Dastek Unichip Type A

Hi all, I bought this last month with a view to rolling road tune the chip but as I am having to replace 8 inlet valves, I need to raise the cash. It will require mapping to your ECU (have checked it is compatible to my aw11 ecu, so i'm assuming other 4AGE ECUs will be fine as well. £110 O.N.O plus ...

I am running 8.5/9.0 on mine.

Didn't have any issues for 1300 miles until the cambelt snapped which wasn't camshaft related.

Apexi SAFC

Hi, I have for sale my Apexi SAFC (super airflow converter). It was originally bought to help my fuel issues with my cams but since the cambelt snapped I have been able to purchase a reprogrammable Dastek Unichip to suit my ECU. I had the wiring extended and protected in braided sheath before I got ...

Big white loom connector

My main white plug that is located near the battery tray in the engine bay is damaged causing a few very annoying electrical issues. Mainly affecting the alternator and earth.

How can I replace this? I know it's connected to the fuse box but when does this part stop after the bulkhead inside the car?

Re: WTB: 4age Engine Harness/ECU

I may have a bluetop engine harness in my garage. From memory I was sent one by mistake, with the owner thinking it was a red top.

Unfortunately I am in the UK so postage will be heavy.

But can check for you anyway if you like?

Best regards,

Alex

FS 4AGE 16v Crank Pulley

Hi, I've got a spare crank pulley. These are sometimes hard to get a hold of, but I have one available. The outer lip has damaged, hence low price of £30 plus postage http://i72.photobucket.com/albums/i200/superredmr2/Mobile%20Uploads/53F62B95-965B-4C5C-BC4B-534E48837553_zpsvwpfbxel.jpg http://i72.p...

I find it hard to believe the gauge was working, then all of a sudden it's not because I rebuilt the engine.

I had been suffering from electrical issues as well, so a grounding problem may not help things.

Re: RWD 4age exhaust manifold required (LOCATED IN THE UK)

Janspeed don't make one for the AW11

Haven't heard of Ashley for it either.

Best bet is a custom made and it'll probably cost less than trying to import one.

Re: RWD 4age exhaust manifold required (LOCATED IN THE UK)

There is nothing in the UK in terms of manifolds for the MR2 or Corolla.

There are a few companies who will make you a manifold.

Re: Clutch replacement in AW11

I've done the clutch on my AW11 in 6 hours before.

And that was without an engine crane to help put the box back in. The worst part is getting the car high enough when you only have 2 axle stands...imagine axle stands on top of bricks...Getting the box back in is a time consuming exercise.

Re: Oil Pressure Query

I did find when I went to strip the sandwich plate down, that all the bolts were loose... Another thing; when I stripped the pressure relief down on the old oil pump, I could not get the valve out, the pressure relief in the oil filter plate came out / fell out when I stripped that. Could that expla...

I took the sandwich plate off and I cleaned it all up and removed the pressure relief valve. It all came out fine. Which way does the valve go back in? I've removed mine recently and i've had to replace my oil pump and destroyed part of the front main seal which is obviously being replaced now as well. I wonder if you can shed any light on this potential issue… My engine is from a corolla originally putting out 115hp, even though I was told it was the same engine from the MR2, this is not the case. The sump on the engine obviously doesn't come with the MR2 factory oil cooler outlet on it either. I...

Re: 4AG lighten pulley kits

I bought one like this from eBay in the UK and they are crap basically.

Even with grease it was a real PITA to remove, it seemed to have welded itself onto the crank!

Pointless and don't offer any improvement.
