Re: CA Shop Recommendation
THAT is awesome! LOL!
Yeah, I think I'm going to hold back on the install for a bit at least until I shop around and get a feel for how the pricing is and maybe if I feel adventurous, I'll try it myself. Thanks for the creative idea.

Re: CA Shop Recommendation
A lot of places will outsource the pressing to a machine shop. I remember the last time I needed something pressed out in a pinch it was about $25 a pop. Doing the bushings sounds like a simple task, but it's time consuming. Shops usually charge upwards of $90/hour labor so to me it sounds logical....

CA Shop Recommendation / Complete Bushing Kit Installation
I know this question has been asked countless times but I'm hoping someone can help me with a SoCal shop recommendation for installing a complete bushing kit. I went to my usual place but they quoted me $650 for the install. That sounds quite high to me. And they made it seem like they've never done...

Re: steering intermediate shaft question
I believe there's a bolt in your rack that determines preload between the pinion gear and the rack. If that loosens off, you could potentially have wide clearances that would give you that slop For this you may want to check your rack mount bushings. I went to get an alignment once and the guy at t...

Re: steering intermediate shaft question
Can someone describe the play in the manual steering from the above posts? I'm wondering if the play in my steering is from the same issue as described in this thread. I also have a AW11 steering rack and a MK3 Supra intermediate shaft. When I'm driving straights the steering wheel can move/float le...

Have you checked eBay? I remember my sunroof was leaking and found a seller on eBay who had a few new seals for around $80 I think?

Re: WTB AE86 Hatchback Redline Center Garnish
I sold a couple used ones a while back that I had stockpiled. Realistically, they go for around $400 on average give or take a few. I don't even want to think what a new one today would go for, that is if you could find one. But you never know. You might get lucky. Good luck!

After I bought my car I took it to Tashmo off of Tustin Ave. in Santa Ana. Daniel there is very chill. If you go onto their website or Facebook page (I forget which) you can see photos of all their work they've done for customers. You might be able to find my 85 GTS hatch on there. It had some probl...

First of all, welcome to the forum. Depending on where you're located, it may be difficult to even find an 86 for sale. So if you haven't already, I would post in the "Want to Buy" section of the Classifieds that you're looking for one. There are people on here who have been looking for mo...
