Re: Carbureting the 4AGE essentials

Hey Jonas can you confirm or deny the compatibility of Weber DCOE linkage on Mikuni carbs? I couldn't find any mention of other brands on Redline's site, but I've seen online the bar dual kit works universally. I've used the bar & linkage arms but the tie rod arms don't work on the Mikuni throt...

Re: 20v How do you plumb the ICV with open throttles?

If it's what I think you're talking about; you know you could connect say a faucet valve that you would use for a gas line or an in line ball valve for plumbing, and by opening and closing it slightly actually adjust idle similar to how you would with an idle speed screw on carbs or a single throttl...

Re: MSD Coil and 6AL on 20v

The 6AL should already have the instructions for installing it into Hondas & Imports in general. You will most likely need their tach adapter in order for your factory tach to read rpms again. It's all pretty straight forward. Again, just reference either the Honda or Import installation instruc...

Re: Carbureting the 4AGE essentials

At highway speeds you should be around 3500-3700. Just barely into the mains but not really. Cruising around you're seeing very light load so you want to be more on the lean side rather than the rich side. I'd say 14s-15s and even 16s. 22R motors from the factory cruise on the lean side at 16s just ...

From his FAQ page regarding break-in: Q: If break- in happens so quickly, why do you recommend using petroleum break- in oil for 1500 miles ?? A: Because while about 80% of the ring sealing takes place in the first hour of running the engine, the last 20% of the process takes a longer time. Street r...

Re: 20V Silvertop run-in strategy, and ARP head studs

I use this motorcycle engine builder's method (I'm quoting him): Use the oil you intend to use ( EXCEPT NO SYNTHETIC FOR BREAK IN ). Then change the oil after the first 20 miles. "On the Street: Warm the engine up completely: Because of the wind resistance, you don't need to use higher gears li...

Re: 20V: Alternative Ignition: COPs - batch fire

Just out of curiosity why bother with batch fire? It's not any more efficient than typical distributor. To reach optimal effinciency wouldn't sequential be best? Or at least waste spark. Since the 20v is sequential injection, batch firing works on the 20v with the factory ecu. You essentially have ...
