The gaskets Toyota gets me have the round hole. The guys here can't seem to find the one I need. What have you been ordering? 15197-16030? That is 4AGE. 7A would be 15197-16010 Odd... client has a new Toyota Blacktop oil pump, and it came with the elongated feed hole gasket... http://ost.ebeans.ch/...

Re: 7AG Block, Is there a best?

On the oil pump hole alignment. Welding and drilling is unnecessary. Aisin makes a gasket with an oval hole and a little porting in the block and pump housing is all that is necessary, just a port matching. No sense in taking a chance on warping the oil pump housing with the heat associated with we...

Re: 7AG Block, Is there a best?

If you are serious.... you can "fix" the 4AGE oil pump for better alignment in use for a 7A... the cost isn't cheap. The existing hole gets welded shut, and you drill a new hole that aligns with the oil port in the block.............

Stem and guide "work" together..... the same FSM lists maximum valve/guide clearance. I'd recommend using that before you condemn the valves. Exhaust valve - 0.1mm (.0039") Intake valve - 0.08mm (.0031") If they still are too small..... the choice is yours... replacing OEM valves...

Hi everyone, I'm doing a rebuild of my 20v BT. My next step is to buy new valves. As I already got TODA spring, what valves would you recommend with that valve spring ? Re: Rough edges around combustion chambers

I don't use a Dremel on this - too much chance of damaging the surface. I would recommend a #2 flat blade screw driver gripped in the hand(wrapped around the screwdriver shaft) so only the edge of the screw driver blade sticks out of your hand. Gently run the edge (not the tip) of the screwdriver ar...

Re: Looking to build: 4age vs. 5age vs. 7age

4A and 7A have similar rod to stroke ratio... a 5AG is much worse. Based on that alone... you will have a very difficult time making a 5A make power above 8500 ish rpm. If your goal is 9000 rpm capable... stick with either 4A, or 7A 4A vs 7A, @ your budget level - the 7A wins every time. MRP has all...
