Re: 20v BT valves choice

Stem and guide "work" together..... the same FSM lists maximum valve/guide clearance. I'd recommend using that before you condemn the valves. Exhaust valve - 0.1mm (.0039") Intake valve - 0.08mm (.0031") If they still are too small..... the choice is yours... replacing OEM valves...

Re: 20v BT valves choice

Hi everyone, I'm doing a rebuild of my 20v BT. My next step is to buy new valves. As I already got TODA spring, what valves would you recommend with that valve spring ? Stock valves, Supertech valves (has been told they are noisy), Ferrea valves or other brand ?? I'm still running stock camshaft to...

It's very late so my math might be off but I think about 1.5 thou (inches) sounds wrong but that's all I can come up with right now. I'm rusty with my numbers and a bit tipsy. well, about .008" is about 1cc(+ or -), so @ .6cc over, that would be about .005" http://ost.ebeans.ch/albums/use...

Re: Rough edges around combustion chambers

I don't use a Dremel on this - too much chance of damaging the surface. I would recommend a #2 flat blade screw driver gripped in the hand(wrapped around the screwdriver shaft) so only the edge of the screw driver blade sticks out of your hand. Gently run the edge (not the tip) of the screwdriver ar...

Re: Looking to build: 4age vs. 5age vs. 7age

4A and 7A have similar rod to stroke ratio... a 5AG is much worse. Based on that alone... you will have a very difficult time making a 5A make power above 8500 ish rpm. If your goal is 9000 rpm capable... stick with either 4A, or 7A 4A vs 7A, @ your budget level - the 7A wins every time. MRP has all...
