Expanding on what OST said, early stock rods are 18/40, later (smallport 16, all 20v and all GZE) are 20/42; Formula Atlantic are 19/42.

I used the AE92 CP clips in my AE86 climate control when I redid the cables many many years ago. Here is a picture of the AE92 clip listed above: http://jeff.supramania.com/corolla/cableupgrade/climateend.jpg Here is an AE86 climate control: https://i.imgur.com/IubH73s.jpg It is the correct part. Re: 84-85 and 86-87 steering rack difference
The RH rubber bushing is different.
Inner tie rods are different, but if the rack came with them you're fine.
The power steering lines to the rack are slightly different, but I believe they are close enough to work (I could be wrong).
It's more or less a direct replacement.

Re: supra fuel pump in ae86
If you get the pump for a TT model, it will be a bolt-in affair. The N/A models will require the electric connector to be spliced in from a Supra as it is different than the AE86.

Re: Wiring for stock ignitor w. fixed timing (no ecu)?
The stock igniter can definitely do this, and it's actually pretty easy to get working as well, since without an IGt input, it will just run at 10 degrees BTDC timing advance (which you could adjust stlightly to get a bit more advance for fixed timing).

Changing the resistors on the tach PCB is the best method for the DLI ignition on the 4A-GZE.

Yes they are the same.
The entire unit is the same except for the gears that have the larger splined section on the 10/85+ production (kouki).

For the front there are 4 types of brackets, Zenki and Kouki for the Levin and Zenki and Kouki for the Trueno.
For the rear there are 2 types of brackets, Zenki and Kouki. Levin and Trueno are the same.

Re: What variant of 4agze do I have ?
There are 4 versions total of the 4A-GZE, though for the most part there are more like 3 types: 8.0:1 Compression Largeport Head with Distributor (AW11) 8.0:1 Compression Largeport Head with DLI (CPS and Coils) (Early AE92 - 87.5-89.5) 8.9:1 Compression Smallport Head with DLI (CPS and Coils) (Late ...

Re: 1986 AE86 Corolla GT-S Supercharged Restoration
So I got the car back together, the new axles helped quite a bit with the vibration, as did the new transmission output bushing, though I do still have the vibration under load above 95km/h. Now that I have eliminated these other vibrations, I feel that once I get rid of the one under load the car w...

Finally got the hardware for the mudflaps in today (along with the weatherstrips for the windshield side mouldings). Re: 1986 AE86 Corolla GT-S Supercharged Restoration
So, it's been a while, last year I ended up driving the car a bit, I had all of my TRD bushings installed front and rear, as well as my TRD 2-way LSD. Taking out the RH rear axle proved to be quite the challenge, even by AE86 rear axle standards. I ended up removing the axle housing from the car and...

They don't really have a name, but I think most people would call them Intras, they were made for Toyota by Intra in Germany.

It actually depends if they're the double-lock or single-lock connectors. I believe AE92's used single-lock (90980-10609) and AE101's used double-lock (90980-11246).

They're bringing it back to the Japanese market, it's been sold continuously in other markets (Australia, Europe, Middle East, etc.) since 1984 and has been manufactured in Japan that entire time.
It's really non-news, unless you live in Japan I guess.

All 4A-GZE's are 4-wire, AW11, AE92 and AE101.
It's a square connector, but I don't know where it would be off the top of my head, since my GZE is installed in an AE86.

North America and the Middle East had fixed antennas mounted vertically on the RH fender, other LHD European cars had fixed antennas mounted vertically on the LH fender while RHD countries had non-fixed antennas mounted on an angle (as shown) on the RH fender. None had power antennas.

All AE86's have the T50*, SR5 and GT-S. The bellhousing is the only difference, with the clutch slave on the opposite side (due to the exhaust being on the other side).
