1) where are the grounds located? The ground is located on the intake manifold. 4 brown wires on an eyelet. Also several [three] sensor grounds are combimed into one, in the harness and are all crimped together. I've seen high resistance at the crimp joint. So if cleaning the ground does not work y...

Should be about 38 PSI. 3] Check the cold start injector. Pull it out of the manifold and verify that it is spraying ...

Re: 1984 AE86 4AC issues

The master cylinder push rod end goes into the booster, that end should be tilted down. The outlet is where the brake lines attach. You pump the M/C until you no longer have any bubbles in the brake fluid, then install the M/C. Now that the M/C is installed, l would try jacking up the front of the ...

Bench bleed, is just filling the master cylinder on the bench before installing. It lets you angle the M/C out-let ports upward while bleeding so you do not have any air trapped inside. Clutch is not fully disengaging. Check the fluid level and check the clutch pedal adjustment. Tranny should be OK... what you have is normal when the clutch is dragging. If the clutch starts to bite when the pedal is barely off the floor, you need to adjust the pedal higher so that the clutch doesn...

I've had the first issue before. Believe it's just a fuse in the driver's side kick panel fusebox. The third one sounds like a misfire once you're at the tail pipe. Could be as simple as a spark plug gap too far out of spec or a stuck injector. You can disconnect the plug wires one by one and see i...

This is a tricky one :? And because the problem only exists for a second or so when starting, not easy to diagnose. Re: AE86 Rough Start up

With the diagnostic port shorted you should get a steady flashing of the engine management light (EML) on the dashboard, it should not be on solid. Jondee will chime in I'm sure but l think this could be a TPS problem where the idle switch is not engaged in the TPS, effectively the ecu looks at the...
