Re: COP with Adaptronic
Thanks so much for trying to help out! Unfortunately no luck in case somebody else is following on this thread. Everything seems to be wired in correctly but I cannot get the cops to fire up, something might be off with the triggers in the map or I'm missing an input somehow. Back to the good old d...

Re: COP with Adaptronic
Had another go at this, Test mode still does not work even with the new Eugene software, but my back to my issue with the COPs are still not working. I believe the coils are firing at the wrong time. I went back into my wiring diagram. Pin 2E is looking for a crank angle sensor which I do not have a...

Re: COP with Adaptronic
For the OP there is also the built-in scope that has an injector/igniter test mode... https://i.imgur.com/PesWKnJ.jpg This can be used to check that each injector or coil is operating correctly. Just select the output and press GO. This screen is found under the "diagnostics" TAB. Cheers....

Re: COP with Adaptronic
Thanks guys. I left most of the values as is. They provided me with a stock basemap for a 20v so I tuned it off of that. I haven't played with the the diagnostic tools besides the logging function but that's a good idea to check. The ecu really is quite decent. It even has a knock board that seems t...

Thanks for taking the time! Everything is correct with the exception of the igniter being plugged in. oem coil unplugged. Could it really be that simple eh? I'd knock my self in the head if it was.

That's what I was thinking as well. I'm using the toyota one from the options on triggers but it may not be compatible with cop. Havent tried the other ones as I have removed the cops so I could drive the car.

Re: COP with Adaptronic
Second... if I understand correctly, you were using the M1200 to trigger the OEM single coil and distributor ignition system. If so, the ECU would have been supplying 4 trigger signals per 720deg of crank rotation from a single ignition output. To get this to work you would need to have selected &q...

COP with Adaptronic
Hey folks, I'm currently tuned with M1200 with distributor set up on my 20V turbo. I've been trying to get the Direct fire to work but it will not start. Coils are working fine. They are all wired up correctly. I left the IGT/#1 connected to get a tach signal from a dead oem 20v coil and igniter is ...

SPEC / EXEDY Clutch - looking for opinions.
Looking for opinions on SPEC stage 1 kit & Exedy OEM replacement if anyone has run either. http://www.specclutches.com/689637/
I've installed several EXEDY OEM ones on honda's however I find the pedal too soft in all of them. Is this the same for 4age's?

Re: Restoring AE86 w/ 4AGE 16v + HKS ITB + Haltech E6X
I didn't rear the whole thread but did you get the haltech running? I'm curious if youre tuning via VE? Mine will not start unless I select Injection time. I don't see a VE option at all on my E6X, what model do you have? PS500. Are you using injection pulse? I'm curious how it runs on yours. I can...

I know its an old post but did you get yours to work while cranking? I wasn't able to see the timing marks on mine while cranking so I ended up setting my timing at idle. BG haltech as well.

Re: Emanage Blue + Turbo questions
^ I agree, If you are running afm, emanage will not work. Probably best to keep it simple, @ 7psi, stock injectors, FMU. Retard the timing a little & run colder plugs. Not the best but it should work. Make sure you have a wideband & monitor detonation at high load. I was gonna go this route ...

Re: Is my AE86 considered totaled??
Damn, thats sad to see. I went through a similar ordeal when my hatch got side swiped by a Civic. $2-3k in damage but my adjuster was very thorough and he knew a lot about 86's and how rare it is. Put a $6500 value on it and he approved the repairs instead of salvage.

195kph on my old 16v + cams (long flat stretch or hwy)
180kph on my blacktop hitting the speed limiter (downhill & quite unstable)
Both on Kumho ecsta 195/50/15 & stock gears.

20v distributor cap/ wires alternative
Pardon me if this topic has been covered before. Looking for alternatives on the cap & wires. I'd like to cross reference from a usdm vehicle if something else fits.
The closest I found for wires lookswise are 90s landcruiser.

Re: 7age? Questions
I have been thinking about the 7age for a long while now too. I have a blacktop in my current setup. Is it really worth the amount of $$ to build a mild 7age for the amount of torque gained? It's kind of a hard question and really depends on where you are at currently. If your motor needs to rebuil...

Re: VVT Problems!??!
Ive got denso oxygen sensor on mine. Ive also tried ngk, no difference. Im running bung type but really wouldnt be an issue. Its always narrowed down to when the vvt activates at part throttle for me which would mean its when its in closed loop mode. Swapped in a known good tps & map but no luck.

Re: VVT Problems!??!
Correct, when the vvt is unplugged, it works fine. Ive ruled out the sensors at this point as they checked out fine when I tested them a while back. I thought it mightve been an ecu as well but no difference when I swapped in a working one.
