Blacktop Base map for MS?
Once I file my taxes and get my money back I decided I'm going to go Megasquirt MS3x. I know everyone has there budgets and preferences, on ECU's but this is what I have already decided. I have done my research, with the expansion board you can run an extra VR sensor input. Meaning we can use our st...

OK, fair enough. The OEM MAP sensor from a 4afe and 7afe has worked for me and many others.

Re: Can i use this oil pump on my 20V Blacktop?
Blacktop Oil Pump: 15100-19045
Silvertop Oil Pump: 15100-19036
Technically it will bolt on fine but you will need silver top, red top, or blue top timing tensioner set up. Hope this helps

Re: 4AGE 200 mm flywheel with clutch on 4AGE 20V Blacktop
I run a 200mm Fidanza Flywheel and OEM organic Exedy clutch. The set up works for me with no quirks, I always tell my friends I'd rather replace a clutch disc than a transmission... You will notice quicker engine response, whether decelerating or accelerating. I think it made it easier for me to dri...

Re: 20v blacktop oxygen sensor
I think I may have cross referenced it to a turbo mr2. I'm pretty sure any 4 wire o2 sensor that will plug in will work. I believe almost all of the 4 wire heated narrowband o2 sensors work the same!

My guess is timing is off. The stock 20v ecu is very picky and all it's vital sensors plugged in and working.

Re: 20v blacktop oxygen sensor
I don't have the part number on hand, I'll see if I still have the box when I get home. However I used a 4 wire Bosch o2 sensor from autozone and plugged right into the harness and never had a check engine light.

Re: Recommended ECU for 20V
That t3 pulley has been on the market for ages. EMS have evolved a lot since then. Here is another source stating there is a cam signal input (vr) and a crank signal input (vr) only on the ms3x though! For the wiring harness and ecu you will be looking at 717+ shipping! http://ms3efi.com/product.html

Re: Reputable JDM Engine Importer
I was in the same boat as you not too long ago, I eventually pieced a fully rebuilt long block set up for less than I would've payed from an engine importer. Their are always guys going bigger and better than a 20v here on the forums. Check the classifieds, at least you're buying direct from a perso...

Re: blacktop map sensor
any map sensor from an A series engine will work. For example i went to the junk yard and got a map sensor from a 1996 Toyota corolla with a 7afe plugs rights in and works!

Re: Recommended ECU for 20V
MS3x can run sequential ignition and sequential injection off of our stock distributor, I believe. Can anyone confirm this? I believe we have a 24/1 nippondenso CAS. 24 no missing teeth for crank speed and 1 tooth for cam speed? Not sure if this is thread jacking but this can help everyone that want...

Re: 20v black top bogging! Don't no why. Can some 1 help?
Did you hook up the STA wire to the ECU? Without that wire it causes bogging. Anyone correct me if I'm wrong, I believe that the ECU is on but only wakes up when it see's this STA signal wire. Like when you log off a computer, technically its on, its just not fully functioning?

Have you looked into Adaptronic? I think I will be going MS3x myself. Adaptronic is self learning and uses all oem toyota sensors.
