Reason for not going coilovers is there aren't any on the market with the correct paperwork for them to be legal overhere. Cops are already eyeing my car up everytime i pass them, can't risk getting defected.

Re: T3 camber plates
Update on this. If anyone is thinking about using the camber plates with oem top hat, don't. It doesn't work. The top hat doesn't spin so the spring has to spin to turn which makes the steering feel awful. In my case I had the rubber bush that goes between the top hat and springs and it acted like ...

No, I wouldn't want to put on custom rims or anything ridiculous. And no, I wouldn't want to floor it on highways or any other roads. I'd honestly just want that kind of car because I feel it's amazing. I'm daily driving mine. Not garage kept, driven year round including winters and their salty roa...

I get the gist of what Zem is saying but thats how things are. The ae86 just isn't rare enough in most peoples eyes to keep original as collectors item. Still not as bad as s-bodies. Lol @ Torparts sig. 'World Leader In Reproduction...' checked your site and you don't ship overseas. Should change th...

Re: What did you do to your car today?
About halfway through my distributor rebuilt. Got 2 new seals on, drilled out the little pin in the shaft/gear. Still have to get a bearingpuller to get the bearing out and replace the inner seal.
Finished most of the enginebay cleanup and retaped alot of the wiring in wiring loom cloth tape.

Before you now it you'll be por15'ing everything. I did my the floor pans, boot floor and a bunch of other stuff.
Did you scuff up the paint before the por15? Sometimes this stuff reacts kinda funky.

Spend the weekend cleaning the enginebay. What did i get myself into... Probably hasn't been cleaned in 20+ years. Dodgy repairs and grime everywhere. Also my distribitor o-ring is leaking so there's oilspray on everything.

I bought tectyl ML, same stuff different name. I did the sills and inside of my doors, i'm going to do the frame rails when it gets dry for a couple of days. It's really messy stuff, sticks like hell. I just put the flex nozzle inside and kept spraying until it seeped out.

I have also observed a slight leak coming from the rear right hand side of the engine, behind the exhaust manifold. I am hoping this isn't a blown head gasket, thoughts? Valve cover gaskets probably also need replacing. Big chance it's just the valve cover gaskets like gotzoom said. No need to pani...

I have heard that they are so tight with materials, that each person is only allowed to use one piece of sandpaper to prep the surface. Damn how can you prep a car with 1 piece? I'm prepping mine for a full respray and i already went through $100 worth of sandpaper. Hindi, You ever consider wrappin...

From what i can see it doesn't look to bad. But didn't you pop the hood before you bought it? That's usually the first thing i do.

If your engine is well maintained, the higher rpms aren't really a problem just noisy. Imagine what it would be for people with a 4.5/4.7 rear-end, even higher rpms.
