Re: 2GR swap
Very interesting, would any gr engine bolt up to the is250 6 speed? I also wonder how an ls1/6 swap would compare to this in price, weight, etc. Please don't ex-communicate me for suggesting it!

Are you just ordering them from the dealer? I'm going to need shims very soon as the engine is about to be back from the machine shop.

Re: AE86: Setting up 4 Links
To preload you just tighten the bolts holding the links with the links pushed all the way up. This only works with stock bushings... It just makes the car sit a tiny bit lower, but doesn't really do anything besides that. Just install it however it's easiest for you and don't wory about it

Re: Having trouble with running lean on Silvertop / ECU advi
Sounds strange. Usually when something goes wrong the engine runs richer than normal. Maybe the wideband is reading a false lean condition? This can happen if you have an exhaust leak or a cylinder doesn't fire due to spark/etc since the wideband only picks up the unburnt oxygen. Hope that helps, bu...

Hmm not too familiar with MS, but does this need any add ons / extra circuits to read the distributor's CAS and control the VVT?

What a crazy awesome build! Did you consider enlarging the diameter of the buckets to better cope with the giant cam? Not sure if that's even possible.

Engine tick when braking
So I've asked my mechanic friends about this and they are all stumped. When I press the brakes on the car, sometimes the car makes a sound that's kind of between a tick and throwout bearing noise that's the same speed as the engine rpm. Not sure I understand what you're doing here, but are the molds just so you have a better idea of what the port looks like for when you modify them? Maybe you can laser scan the molds and do some sweet CFD on them
