Re: Having lighting issues and I'm stuck
Assuming your issue is on AE86, my next step at this point will be trying another headlight switch. I just read Japanese article that similar symptoms were resolved by disassemble the switch and re-solder the wires inside the switch. According to the article they found a small crack on soldering poi...

It looks PERFECT to me. Job well done & that is one clean dash you have there. Those of you are planning to get on hands on AE86 dash in a future, just handle it with an EXTRA CARE. Small accidental hit by tool may crack. Also, be careful when you wash / clean them. I once located a perfect cond...

Re: Random Question: How To Clean Rear Side/Arm Panels
If this is your car that is equipped with cloth version, only way I could think is use carpet cleaner that you can purchase at any hardware store. What I did on my old Levin years ago.... (1) Purchase vinyl version (2) Clean -> apply interior paint....DONE. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/510541...

It is very difficult to pin point the issue from your description that could be both mechanically or electronically. Mechanically means it could be simple as worn out outer switch knob (plastic) without the metal insert...etc. Electronically could be faulty switch, shorted ...etc. My suggestion for ...

If I own AE86 today, replacing engine to 13B is definitely NOT an option. I would like to keep it ORIGINAL as possible that would be same engine type: 4A-G. AE86 = 1.6 piston engine is my opinion as well. But, if someone has 13B powered AE86, I would love to sit behind the wheel for a test drive.......
