a quick comparison of the two they look exactly the same. just the ae86 one is half a inch shorter. but the two fork end where the bearing clips to is the same.

i was curious where people mounted there power door lock actuators since the door panels in the ae86 are flat and the location of the lock rod is on top of the door handle rod. it kind of makes it a little tricky. =/

ya it was a 88 4runner. with a 22re. and it fits perfect. i was surprised also. he told me they used the same one and showed me the computer screen that the part # was the same that just the plastic gear was different. but some had the 31 tooth that i needed. i can take a pic and post it if you want.
