Looking for a ST or BT 20V VSV (Vacuum Sensor) that is located below the quad throttles. I have boxed it in red in the picture below.
Thanks!

Re: 20V Vacuum Hose Routing
I agree with tapping into the common vacuum rail as a more reliable source. It's just nice to have options when plumbing all this together from a troubleshooting point of view. Speaking of pulsation, it's probably a good idea to add an in-line vacuum damper valve to the map sensor? This will keep th...

This is great information! Yes, the my-accoustic page was super helpful. In regards to the misinformation I try to take whatever I find on the internet and take it with a grain of salt. It's comforting to find duplicate answers than ones that contradict. I seem to have figured out the majority of co...

Re: 20V Vacuum Hose Routing
Hi Jondee86. Thanks for the quick reply. I always thought that common port on the manifold rail would be a good spot to get an averaged vacuum signal as they all meet at 1 point. You are saying a good point would be for example point 18? It taps directly into the common vacuum rail. I think this por...

Hello C4AG! I may be beating a dead horse here but I've done some extensive research online and have piece-milled together whatever information I could find that makes sense. I do not have the oil squirters.
The crank is currently a pending sale. I will find out soon if the buyer is still interested.
I'm not sure of the journal size. I'm assuming OEM spec?

Re: Are all blacktops the same or are there different kinds
E-Money: You might want to consider looking into a Blacktop motor with an Automatic transmission. They are typically the cheapest out of the bunch and the LEAST abused. You can even request the importer to sell you the motor itself without the automatic transmission and ECU and then pick up a 6 Spd ...

Re: Reputable JDM Engine Importer
Since you're in Cleveland, I'll recommend Zerolift Autolab in Cincinnati, if you're willing to drive a little. I was up there not too long ago and they had several 20Vs in stock. They also had a couple BEAMS 3S/6spds in stock. All of them are compression checked and guaranteed to run. They have pre...

Re: Reputable JDM Engine Importer
I'm not expecting a picture perfect engine from an importer either. I'm sure some if not all of these imported engines have been sitting in a junkyard in Japan for months or years since it was pulled from a car. I've read some importers physically go to Japan and only import motors that they have se...

Reputable JDM Engine Importer
Greetings,
Does anyone have recommendations to a US based engine importer?
Specifically an imported BT/ST 20V?
I've done some searching and found the following 'reputable' dealers:
Texas JDM Engines
Elite JDM (Rarely stocks 20V)
Your input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Ralph

Re: 20V Block Surface Wear
That area in the picture has been completely cleaned off from residue. Is the 'firepath' created from the slight gap between the warped cylinder block and/or head and over time as combustion and pressure is forced along that area, it is slowing eroding away the material? I will go ahead and cleaned ...

20V Block Surface Wear
Greetings, So as I was cleaning off the remaining head gasket residue on the block surface, I ran into this little bugger: http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/4430/img20130217002457.jpg The ridge between the cylinder walls i'd say is about 0.25mm deep.
