It should be impossible to misalign the crank pulley due to the woodruff key. If the pulley doesn't align with the timing marks despite the screwdriver showing TDC, I'd double check they key is installed. The accessories might be different. You may have to use all of the 16v ones and none of the mr2's, or vice-verse. Check the pulley alignment.
