Re: Celica ST 1991 rebuild + 4AGE swap
I'm sure if you're aware, but the ARP stud on the exhaust side, number 1, will interfere with the stock distributor in the head. The ARP stud is longer than the OEM headbolts and will catch on the end of the distributor shaft. Be cautious about that and take appropriate measures. You´re right, than...

Re: Celica ST 1991 rebuild + 4AGE swap
engine isn´t finished yet. Still waiting for head assembly, hopefully next week... There is early 4AGE crankshaft inside 4AFE block,(they are all the same, as it is still 4A), so I don´t expect any issues here.

Re: Celica ST 1991 rebuild + 4AGE swap
Got news from machine shop. Head is nearly finished, just needs little porting after fitting new tungsten valve seats. They are oversize to accommodate 7MGTE valves. Still vaiting for Kelford 193-B cams (284/278 Duration, 9.20mm/8.50mm Lift). http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/22/l9a8.jpg h...

Thanks for all the positive comments guys
It´s quite cheap actually. It depends on the weight of the parts you put in the bath. I paid around 50 bucks for everything in the post above.

Re: Celica ST 1991 rebuild + 4AGE swap
The 4AGE story... Got an early 3-rib Bluetop with unknown km from a junk AE82. It was an european version with MAP sensor and 10:1 pistons with stock power around 125 HP(?is that right??). It was pretty dirty, though...At first I wanted to simply rebuild the engine and remain it within the stock spe...

Brakes update :-) I threw away the original brakes and got the stock ones from ST185, which are slightly bigger. Also converted to 5-stud hubs and disks at the rear. http://img545.imageshack.us/img545/6999/ql6b.jpg http://imagizer.imageshack.us/v2/800x600q90/5/3w9b.jpg http://img15.imageshack.us/img...

WTB Rod bearings for bluetop crank, 0.25 oversize
I´m looking for oversize (+0.25) rod bearings for high revving race engine using BlueTop crankshaft (40mm pin). ACL makes them only for later cranks and I don´t want to mess with the ALU series or OEM bearings. Clevite 77 is available only in std. size. Is there any other option? How about TRD or Ki...
