Seems that the Gotech Pro-X software only works when connected to the ECU ?

No matter... if you don't have any spark or injector action the first thing to check
is... is the ECU getting an RPM signal ? And if you have your laptop connected to the
ECU while cranking, you should be seeing 250-300 rpm on your screen in the RPM box
at the top of the second screen shot you posted.

If the ECU is not getting an RPM signal it will not deliver spark or fuel. So check that
out first before you do anything else.

And according to other things i have read about the ecu that the one red led light on the ecu that is illuminated is said to be no rpm signal so im guessing im not going to get any further with it unless i can get somebody thats good with ecu work to look at this

Assuming that you are in SA, then you could try contacting Gotech to see if they
offer a test and repair service. Otherwise, they might be able to point you to a
service agent in your area. You will probably need to send the trigger pickup with
the ECU so that they can be tested together.

Last option would be to try a television repair shop. They can look at the circuit
board and replace anything obviously burned out. There may even be a small fuse
inside that is blown... but I wouldn't hold by breath hoping for that :)
