W58 help.

Postby DavidCurtis » Fri Jan 11, 2013 12:21 pm

I need help doing a W58 swap.

The car is a dedicated drift ae86 with a 4agze, using the 4age clutch and flywheel setup. Well I want a stronger tranny.
I have the w58, a t50, supra drive shaft, and some other bits and pieces
I have a guy who will cut the t50&w58 bellhousings and reweld them for me. Or should I just buy an adapter plate or a custom bellhousing?

So, what do I need? I figure I need a custom clutch, what else?

Thanks in advance!!! :D

Im also waiting to buy a clutch.
if i remember correct for niteparts this is his email brendan@niteparts.co.nz
But you could also like you said use the T50 and w58 bellhousing and weld them together if youre good enough, will save you money

I can confirm that an automatic AE86 SR5 transmission crossmember will work perfectly with the W58 rubber mount. Position is great. The shifter location will differ from W5x transmission, but a simple Google search will help you figure out which one is best suited for your needs.
