Setting pinion angle.

Postby The Bloody Panda » Mon Apr 15, 2013 2:55 pm

I'm about to install a one piece driveshaft into my 86 and I'm curious about the best places to check the angles. I figure the flange at the rear end where the driveshaft mounts is obviously a good place to check the rear pinion angle. However, I'm still debating about where to check the front/engine/trans angle. I guess if I remove my driveshaft and spill a little transmission fluid I could check from right inside the cup on the end of the T50 where the driveshaft yoke goes in, perhaps this is the only good place to check it. I'm thinking a more convenient place that could be just as good is my T3 crank pulley since I assume that it is flat and should give me the same angle reading. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
