firewall vin plate looking old and faded? fear not!

hey guys,

i had my vin plate re-made because it got painted over when i painted my entire car and it was left completely ilegible, so i thought i'd share!

That came out really well. I've been real careful to mask that off the 3 times I've painted my engine bay though lol.

yeah i'm happy with it carbd7age.

workin on getting my dash vin plate and door manufacturing date plate done now.

i'll post some pictures when they're done!

Why not just drill out the rivets, remove vin plate, paint engine bay, then rivet the vin plate back in place? I only say this because a reproduction vin plate is sketchy concept.

This may be boarderline illegal. It's tampering with a VIN...BUT....you are just making it MORE legible....so yeah idk. Kinda like reproducing a license plate, you have to have a replacement issued to you.
