JDM Kouki Front Bumper install??

Postby EvoSolley » Sat Feb 23, 2013 10:10 am

Hey CLub4ag,

So my JDM Kouki front bumper brackets and front turn signals came in today! :D :D :D :D While i am waiting on body work stuff to dry, i want to install it. After removing about 1,000,000 screws to get the USDM front bumper skins off, I am ready to put the new one on. However i don't know where exactly the JDM bumper brackets go?? does anyone have any pictures of the location? Sorry for the dumb post, I just don't know where they go haha.

Thanks everyone!

I think you should mount the brackets on the bumper first, then you should know how to do it, i did it with my zenki bumper

Honestly I would say do it how you think would be easiest you. I've done both, I prefer putting brackets on car then put the bumper on. Wouldn't hurt to have a friend to help

Thanks for your alls help! My bumper is still at the apartment so i haven't been able to try them on the bumper yet. To grappletech, does the actual USDM bumper beam need to come off or just the skin?

you are removing the whole USDM iron bar (and the brackets to the bar). then bolting in the JDM brackets, then the JDM "skin" to the brackets.

if you want proper bumper support, you're going to have to ditch the JDM brackets and snag one of these:

or get one made yourself.
