I have 2 questions if anyone has the knowledge or prior experience that could help.
1. Looking to get Recaro Profis for both the passenger side and driver side. I'm 5'7, 150lbs. Comfort?
2. Anyone mount these with wedge brackets and sliders with any issues?
I'm having a lot of issues with brackets as of late. Buddy clubs line up on one side, but did not on the other, but the angle of the back tab was fine. Planted base lines up on all three sides, but again, back tab at the wrong angle (brought this up with sparco and Planted, and they are looking into it as they have an 86 in their showroom showing the angle of their bracket was off for one of the mounting points - just a warning to those that get the Sparco/Planted bases, the rear tab closes to the door - the angle is off). Techno Toy Tuning has the right angles and the all the bolt holes line up (finally!), but I'm not a fan that it's hard mounted and having to change the seating position is too cumbersome for my liking.
Thanks!

Re: Seat woes
Okay, let's broaden this up a bit lol how about any seat or bracket that fits that car that won't require modification? lol
Re: Seat woes
Xcessive Manufacturing makes a bracket, I've never tried it, but they make nice stuff.
Re: Seat woes
had that seat in my 86. it should be a good fit for you.
wedge brackets would prob place the seat high.
you want the 'low style' side mount brackets (2 separate pieces). i had memory fab and bride fg which were fairly similar (nams is basically the same also). memory fab could go slightly lower on the front half of the seat, but only one of the slider brackets (one side) locks - same with nams. i preferred the brides because both brackets lock, which makes for a more solid feel.

Re: Seat woes
Ahh, thanks for the info, so no mods needed with the Bride FG + Recaro Profi's at all?

Re: Seat woes
I used a Wedge bracket with Recaro siders for my Bride Stradia II (Bride brackets were special order with 8-week lead time).
My setup positions the seat in the lowest possible position. Im considering ordering the Bride bracket cuz it raises the seat about 1/2 inch (I'm short, lol).

recaro profi + bride fg = straight bolt in. no mods needed.
