I was wondering if the igniter in the AE86 is interchangeable with any other igniter. If I got an igniter from a N/A mr2, would the plugs plug right into my AE86 harness? If not is there any that would?

What mr2 are we talking about? AW11 igniter should work.

Yea aw11 na is completely interchangeable, also the mr2 distributor cap and heatshield and a better design than the 86 one and its interchangeable, also you can buy a new aw11 dist from autozone pretty cheap and comes with heatshield, also make sure the igniter is actually bad cuz usually iis the dist. pickup coil that go bad especially if you rev high with headers and no heatshield, beats up the dist bad...
