Removing the rear quarter window trim on hatchback
Removing the rear quarter window trim on hatchback
Is there a writeup or vid somewhere on this? I want to remove these during paint prep but im scared to death about breaking them. I have the inside removed down to where I can see the screws in the clips. But there is nowhere to unscrew anything else....thanks for any help.

You can see what the window clips look like in this thread...

AFAIK the exterior trim just snaps onto the clips. You should be able to lever them
up with a thin blade like an old school putty knife. But I never had to take mine off
so better get a check from someone else with experience

Hey Jondee86.....thanks for the links. I ended up just going for it....it's not too bad....the top and side part snaps off but the bottom piece slides off the clips....i took some video and will post a video "how to" soon.....maybe I'll make the diy stickies here? take care.

Yeah they just clip right into place and the removal isn't hard either. I did however add some industrial caulk under the trim to create a better seal between the trim and the window because I was getting some water leakage through one side.
