Need help with wire/connector identification.

Postby broku-hachi » Mon Dec 12, 2016 1:40 am

First off, thank you for any help.

I'm in the process of my first sr5/gts conversion. I was able to find a gts parts car with no motor, and then later found a bluetop 16v. All wiring harnesses are from a zenki. I have most things sorted out except for a few plugs and wires here and there. I've checked the electrical wiring routing diagrams but I'm not 100%.

4= A/C compressor sensor?
5= A/C magnet clutch ?

6= Cruise control actuator

These two (red and black) come from the starter. Just wondering where to connect them.

Which bvsv do I use to reinstall my charcoal canister? the previous engine owner removed the egr and canister.

Is this a fuel return line? Does it just connect to one of the hardlines that go to the tank?

Does this ground connect straight to the alternator.

Thanks for the help.

I'll give it a shot

1) fuel pump test connector
2)

3) this wire connects to your wire #8

4)correct
5)correct
6)not sure but your probably right.

7) forgot to look but i'll look later...think it goes to the positive terminal post on the battery?

8) see #3

The egr stuff I don't know....but the fuel line coming from the fuel pressure regulator goes to the fuel hardline that goes back to the tank that is closest to the frame rail...pic

Alternator ground yes..

Good luck....if you need any egr stuff i have the whole system i beleive including charcoal canister. Sent you a pm too about another thing.

I have a question regarding the 4th picture from the top (starter motor wires). I'm guessing the red wire from the starter motor is not the original wire.

Does the thicker of the two wires connect to the battery terminal, or is the wire with a slip connector?

Looking again at the pic it looks like the black wire is a larger gauge wire with part of the connector terminal on there....hard to tell with the pic but if you look at mine....both wires are black from the starter but the thicker of the 2 bolts to the underside of the positive battery connector. See pic. So maybe whoever wired your starter used the red wire for the ground and the larger black wire to the positive terminal.
