Rear water Outlet sensor thingy.

Engine is 4age bluetop. Can anyone tell me what this sensor does? Got a pic of one that isn't broken? I deleted my egr system but i still haven't gotten to the point where i can start the engine. Will this leak water in this broken state? Do i need to replace it for the car to run properly? Thanks a mill.

The broken one is for the egr so you don't need it. It looks just like the other one next to it. It shouldn't leak. The other is for the evap/charcoal canister.
