Is CXRacing 20v Exhaust any good?

Postby vashachiroku » Thu Jun 25, 2015 6:40 am

Searched the forums didn't see a feedback or any type of thread. I was thinking about buying this for my swap.

Any feedback on the product? I would like to order today.

Unless you're making your own downpipe, you should spring for the 2pc header. No idea how the quality is, but they sell them with and without the downpipes.

The design looks good but the piping configuration is wrong or not efficient. As you can see in the picture, exhaust pipe #1 and #2 are together, and #3 + #4 are together. The ideal piping configuration in a 4-2-1 system is pipes #1+#4 and #2+#3 should be together. Hope this helps your decision.

I bought just the header, wish I would have bought it with the downpipe. It's alright, not very good flow off of the flange, welds look okay, but can't expect much from a cheap header. It'll do the job for now, that's about all I can say about it. It'll work as a starter

Since you have one, can you confirm which cylinders are paired together? Everyone just seems to be going by the same few pictures, so I want to hear from someone that has it in front of them.

I bought it since trying to finish up my swap let everyone know what I think as I ordered the cat back. I really wanted to get the Toda one, but since my car is only used a few times a year so cant justify the price tag. If I drove the car more it wouldn't be a problem.

TODA is also only for RHD.

Mine is RHD =)

This CXRacing with downpipe didn't line up to the cat, it was way off. I ended up cutting the down pipe and re-welding the flange to line up with the OEM cat. Very annoying something so expensive doesn't have proper alignment. It also didn't fit the 20v BT with a water line block off plate either, so had to cut around the bolt too.

Could you post a pic of the header you got, especially the 4-2-1 parts? So we can see which cylinders are paired together.

Thanks!
