Mr2 4agze into ae86 hatch:what do I need?

Postby Faz707 » Fri Mar 07, 2014 8:43 pm

What do I need to put a mr2 4agze into my ae86? Will it work just like that or do I need to modify anything?
Thank you

Does anyone have this stored? Or know how I can retrieve the file?

Here is the thread hosted on another website...
http://86atlanta.proboards.com/thread/1 ... 4agze-ae86

You will need to download and install a photobucket workaround to be able to
see the pictures. I just did that with Firefox and it works using this addon...
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefo ... ucket-fix/

There are workarounds for other browsers if you search.

It's really not too bad, i did it that same swap intomy 74 celica and it was pretty straight forward, considering that block actually belongs in a corolla it should make it that much easier for you, granted you have all the original parts that go with your 86. (Transmission, motor mount brackets, wiring harness, etc.) Btw the GZE flywheel won't fit in the T50 bellhousing so keep that in mind, I did an electric fan setup in my car, also i did custom intercooler piping for a FMIC. There's some random odds and ends you'll have to plan for that are impossible to foresee, like for me... my idle speed control motor crapped out on my GZE and made it idle like ass, then my alternator went out and that was a bitch finding one (they're GZE specific) had some hiccups with a bad fuel pressure regulator and a couple boost leak issues and minor wiring puzzles, but other than all that, not that bad lol good luck! The instant torque is tons of fun. =D
