Re: JSP Formula Drift AE86 rebuild
Switched out all the turbosmart stuff for black and ordered the rear shocks, driveshaft and throttle setup. Lots of work to do this weekend.

Re: JSP Formula Drift AE86 rebuild
In regards to the rear end, wouldn't this setup be better than the traditional equal length 4 link or even a 3 link? It seems incredibly compact and extremely useful while lowering required chassis mods and overall weight. I love the idea, I'm just trying to wrap my head around it's movement as well as the forces that will act upon the lower chassis mounts.
Anything you'd like to add?

Re: JSP Formula Drift AE86 rebuild
Finished all the bodywork this weekend and dropped everything off for paint. Finished the intake for the most part. Also installed the aluminum driveshaft and finished mocking up the driveshaft tunnel. Gonna try to button this thing up minus plumbing and wiring for jccs this weekend.

Re: JSP Formula Drift AE86 rebuild
Finished welding the driveshaft tunnel and redid the door bars to drag racing spec :/. Started putting the interior back together.
Re: JSP Formula Drift AE86 rebuild
How are those doors bars better than the beefy set up you had before?

Re: JSP Formula Drift AE86 rebuild
This build is ridiculously cool man, my only question is why not put a rear bumper on it? I think it would complete the car perfectly, personally, but to each their own.
Re: JSP Formula Drift AE86 rebuild
Nah don't need no rear bumper looks bad ass without it and plus shows how mr. John how craftsmanship he is.

Finished all the brake lines, installed the clutch and tranny for the last time after finding out the input shaft was too long and had to shorten it. Gonna tackle the electrical tomorrow, im about two days away from starting this thing.
